For our German marketing team we are looking for an individual with experience in PR and an understanding in other marketing aspects. Someone who is autonomous and passionate with a drive for success. If you are such an individual, then UNIQLO is made for you! 

 

Job Summary

The person in this role will be mainly in charge of planning and execution of effective PR programs that contribute to building and promoting the UNIQLO brand in Germany in accordance with the local marketing plan and global PR direction. Also he/she will be part of the marketing team being an active member in execution of other activations.  

 

Key Responsibilities

 

PR:

  • Development of story opportunities for fashion, lifestyle and business media across print, digital and broadcast segments, based on the insight into local trends and media interests.
  • Day-to-day management of external PR agency and additional external partner agency
    • Handling the seeding programs to journalists, bloggers and other influential marketing partners supported by PR agency
    • Responsible for press-influential showroom activity (reports, product program and presentation)
    • Translation and localization of global PR materials as well as development  of local PR materials, including press releases, media, Q&As and factsheets
    • Coordination of PR events (press conferences, press briefings, store openings etc..) with the Marketing Manager
  • Build strong relationships with key people in media and influential marketing community.

 

MARKETING ACTIVATIONS:

  • Execute and coordinate marketing events (store openings, store activations, pr events…)  
  • Support of Marketing Manager with planning and execution of campaigns (translation, localization and production of marketing material, market research, reporting and analysis, etc.)     
  • Close coordination with other departments and regional/global Marketing and PR teams

 

  Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience in PR, ideally consumer lifestyle, PR or apparel brand
  • German at mothertongue level and fluency in spoken and written English
  • Strong writing skills & creative skills with the ability of thinking out of the box, finding new ways to connect and express the brand         
  • Strategic and out-of-box mindset that challenges conventional fashion PR
  • PR background focusing on social marketing and management of influential marketing
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and willingness to learn about the retail sector and fashion PR
  • A team player who is effective in collaborating with other functions to achieve the  Company’s goals and objectives
  • Ability to plan ahead and work with flexibility along fast-moving work environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize own workload and deliver to tight deadlines
  • A self-starter, able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrate a high work capacity while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proactive and plans for contingency  measures
  • Commitment to integrity and respect for others
