JOB TITLE:       Financial Planning Analyst

REPORTING TO: Senior Finance Manager


Position Overview:
This role is a key and high visibility position within the Finance team in supporting the business growth and target achievement.

As a Finance Analyst, you will assist in the budgeting and forecasting of the company financial performance by performing key updates to the financial targets, and providing proactive and meaningful financial analysis to Uniqlo US senior management and global senior management.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in building and preparing financial budgets at both consolidated and store levels
    • Prepare financial models and managing the analysis, reporting, and monitoring of operating results
    • Monitor trends and re-project business profit results on a timely basis
    • Support the weekly P&L forecast update to senior management


  • Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reporting:
    • Prepare/manage the timely issuance of a monthly financial report packages to be submitted to global headquarters based in Japan
    • Support monthly close activities (e.g expense accruals)
    • Develop information tools/management reporting key operating activities.
    • Assist in the preparation of board presentation materials


  • Adhoc Analysis:
    • Run reports and queries data using company’s financial software to collect information for financial planning to be shared to relevant business partners and senior management
    • Analyze special projects such as new store openings and closures to determine business financial benefits and impacts


  • Cost control:
    • Assist to identify opportunities to lower costs and engage with business owners to achieve results
    • Key areas of focus for this role will be marketing, personnel and other operational expenses



  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • Demonstrated FP&A experience at the corporate or business unit level
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business or financial analytical role
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel modeling and PowerPoint; SAP experience or finance business application tool experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multi-cultural, fast paced environment
  • Flexible, team oriented, collaborative work style and a positive attitude
  • Proactive individual that has the mindset to think outside the box
  • Desire to build strong and effective business relationships with multiple departments
