Overview & Responsibilities:

 

To support with brand strategy research for the global organization for UNIQLO Global Creative Lab. Works under, and reports to, the Global Director of Brand Planning. Focus will be mining for and documenting business and consumer insights. Must be able to work in a self-directed manner to build analysis that will serve as key components of business strategies. The Research Assistant must be able to bring incisive rigor, strong communication skills, and information architecture skills to this role. A minimum of three years of experience with qualitative and quantitative research is a requirement. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in business strategy and/or marketing research at a leading advertising agency or clothing company
  • Ability to take complex business information and organize it for understanding. Knowledge of strategic principles such as Porter’s Competitive Strategies.
  • Skilled in making polished, presentation ready deck slides (clearly written, visually impactful). Samples required.
  • Must be resourceful in gathering and organizing data and insights from a disparate variety of sources
  • Must be able to calculate and create quantitative models based on incomplete data/information
  • Ability to work with a high degree of self-directed focus and productivity. Ability to deliver output with proactivity required. 
  • Strong verbal communicator. Business fluency in English. Must be able to share findings succinctly.
  • Experience with Keynote, Photoshop, Excel, SQL
  • Business fluency in Japanese is a plus. Not mandatory but relevant to position.
