Position Overview:

The Digital Marketing Director will be responsible for developing, executing and analyzing digital marketing strategies around owned, earned, and paid media for the purposes of growing brand awareness and driving traffic and revenue to the Uniqlo retail stores and website in the US. The candidate must be experienced and comfortable reporting results and educating all levels of management in the area of acquisition marketing. The Digital Marketing Director reporting into the Fast Retailing Head of Digital Commerce North America and will have 4 direct reports across Performance Marketing, SEO, Social and CRM/Email as well as support of various agencies, and should have experience managing a team and developing individuals.


Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Strategically manage paid search, display, Social, Email, CRM and affiliate campaigns across channels and ensure program specific ROI goals and sales targets are being met
  • Manage communication/relationship between Uniqlo US and Global Headquarter as well as oversee digital marketing strategy and execution across other Fast Retailing brands
  • Oversee ongoing efforts to refine database segmentation strategies to drive more incremental sales and make the message more relevant to each customer
  • Perform competitive intelligence to identify promotional activities based on first and third party data that fit the company’s strategy and positioning
  • Oversee all calendar communication, ad copy, and creative used within marketing across channels, working closely with Associate Manager to provide guidance and support
  • Manage the financial planning of digital marketing across channels, reforecasting sales targets and shifting spend to drive performance while adhering to budgets and goals; Develop and maintain reporting on all levels of data for ROI and KPI metrics
  • Partner with Product Marketing on vetting new testing opportunities outside of the usual business needs
  • Ability to gather insights from data and foresee new opportunities and next steps from analysis, and present in meaningful way
  • Fully own internal relationships with e-commerce/CRM/marketing/creative/finance/merchandising/etc. teams as well as external relationships with agency and vendor partners
  • Active participant in cross functional meetings that may or may not be related to acquisition marketing
  • Perceived as a leader & expert in digital marketing within internal teams & external partners



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 8-10 years hands on digital marketing experience for ecommerce, managing large-scale, performance driven campaigns either agency or client side.
  • Some experience with SEO optimization or reporting is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and presentation skills 
  • Strong familiarity with SQL, relational databases, Excel pivot-table and statistical techniques
  • Strong communicator and presenter
  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar reporting tool
  • Hands on experience with a paid search management platforms a plus
  • Hands on experience with 3rd party ad serving tool a plus
  • Proven ability to communicate with all levels of management and external agency partners
