Position Overview:
Director of IT will support entire UNIQLO North America business (USA and Canada) in driving IT strategy, digital transformation, maintenance to sustain processes and systems for each business area. Business areas that this position supports are, but not limited to, Store operations, E-commerce, Omni-channel, Inventory management and warehouse operation. In addition, daily technical support is to be provided such as office and store network, desktop support and infrastructure services end to end.

The primary role of IT Director is to support both project and operational oriented work as well as leading the North American IT team. The IT Director will set the strategy for how technology needs to be utilized in UNIQLO USA in addition to being operationally focused. This position is expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously with limited resources and budget to maximize performance and contribution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Overall skills, experiences required
    • IT strategy, digital transformation, systems maintenance.
    • Organization management, budget management, people management.
    • Deep understanding of fashion apparel industry and operation (Store, EC, SCM, etc.).
    • North America region management (USA, Canada).

 

  • Program, Project management
    • Company-wide program, project management.
    • Global organization alignment.
    • Simultaneous management of multiple projects.

 

  • Systems maintenance
    • Day to day systems support (Store NW, POS, Inventory management, EC site, OMS, Omni, WMS, SCM, ERP, etc.).
    • Weekend and holiday support as needed.

 

  • Technical capability
    • Skills: System fundamentals (system structure, programming, database fundamentals)
    • Fundamental ability and methodology for programming and requirement discovery
    • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 – 10 years of professional experience in organization management and global project management
  • In depth understanding of fashion apparel industry and operations (Stores, EC, Inventory management, Logistic, etc.)
  • Experience with global scale IT system project management
  • Stakeholder management
  • Strong collaboration and cross functional communication skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong technical ability including report creation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize
  • Proven ability to lead company-wide projects
  • Customer oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in all aspects of business analysis including strong analytical skills
  • Experience implementing and maintaining retail IT systems required
  • Experience in the fashion industry and retail industry required
  • Experience working for a global company preferred
  • Passion for current and emerging trends in digital technology
