Responsible for the management and oversight of all Loss Prevention functions in Uniqlo USA- including inventory accuracy, safety, business continuity, shortage control, investigations, field team leadership, and corporate security. Must be able to demonstrate strong business acumen and a forward-thinking, strategic mindset. Ability to be hands on with driving solutions and delivering results in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Create and implement long-term strategies to reduce loss and minimize potential risk to future issues.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to drive successful operational execution both domestic and international.
  • Deliver positive & measurable impact on safety, service and quality while continuously providing data-driven recommendations on improvements.
  • Responsible for setting and managing budgets for security related expenses.
  • Assess existing technology, identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to support innovation and future needs.
  • Reviews, recommends, implements and oversees all policies and procedures, and training relating to the internal and external integrity of the company’s Loss Prevention best practices.
  • Ensures the effective operation and maintenance of the company’s security equipment and devices, stays aware of new developments in the Loss Prevention field.
  • Acts as liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement authorities on all matters pertaining to security and loss prevention.
  • Assures coordination of internal and external resources during emergencies or operational irregularities to assure the protection of people and property.
  • Review, audit and revise delivery procedures at stores and ensures proper inventory accuracy is maintained.
  • Work closely with eCommerce team to safeguard the company from 3rd party chargebacks any other emerging fraud trends
  • Fundamental and working knowledge of current RFID technology and how it is utilized is a must.
  • Identify, recommend, implement and sustain process improvements related to eCommerce fraud analytics and technology.
  • Ensure Loss Prevention team, eCommerce and IT partners have available tools and data needed to minimize company losses from theft, fraud and chargebacks.
  • Support the preparation, take and reconciliation of annual inventory process
  • Work with Store Operations and Logistics to implement operational auditing programs to ensure protection of company assets

 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years in a senior management role (Director Level or above) within Loss Prevention, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience in reporting directly to Executive Leadership.
  • Must have experience supporting teams that oversee, store development, construction, and real estate.
  • Must be able to read and review architectural drawing to develop security system installation plans.
  • Must have high proficiency level dealing with and overseeing internal investigations.
  • Must be able to provide leadership and guidance to all levels within the department as it pertains to external theft and Organized Retail Crime.
  • Must have experience with external vendors and have strong negotiating skills with vendors.
  • Experience in safeguarding public events and new store opening. 
  • Experience with inventory management is preferred.
  • Cyber security knowledge is preferred.
  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality along with other duties as assigned.

 

Additional Requirements –
