Position Overview:

Reporting into the Store Manager with a dotted line to Area HR Manager, Human Resources Coordinator will support the store to drive, deliver and implement best practice hiring methods to acquire retail sales associates.  The Human Resources Coordinator will develop a strong understanding of our brand and our brand image in the marketplace and effectively communicate that information to perspective candidates. This role is critical in ensuring we are hiring the best talent to ensure the continued growth of our brand. Human Resources Coordinator will require 10-25% travel to other UNIQLO locations in the area.



Job Description:

  • provide technical and administrative support to the HR and store team by accurately maintaining employee records, owning administration of employment orientation, supporting execution of cyclical processes, payroll and owning all required record keeping.
  • To complete this work, you’ll be required to interact with our Uniqlo team members at varying levels within the organization (Field and HQ), as well as our external candidates. 
  • You’ll work directly with the Area HR Manager to support the staffing needs of your assigned stores through sourcing, screening and referring applicants, posting and updating all open positions on internal and external job boards, participating in and attending job fairs and ensuring compliance with Federal and State employment regulations and company policy in all areas of employment (including hiring, promotion, transfers, resignations, and terminations).
  • You’ll also work to ensure our compensation and benefits programs are executed timely, follow the appropriate timekeeping and record keeping practices, and assist with any questions as needed.
  • Our employee training is also a priority and as a Human Resources Coordinator, you’ll ensure that the training programs are executed in a timely manner, and that there is accurate record of regulatory and corporate trainings.
  • We service our teams, and in order to do that, you will assist with answering employee questions and escalating concerns to leadership as appropriate. There may also be special projects assigned to you, which include coordination of store/company cyclical processes and new initiatives.
  • You will do all this by working efficiently both individually and as a team, by sharing your ideas, and adapting to change. 
  • It is also vital that you report to work on time and complete job tasks assigned accurately and on time to contribute to the overall store results.  
  • As a Human Resources Coordinator, you’ll be a key strategic partner for leadership, as well as a valuable resource and guide for employees, providing guidance, and support to make them successful. You’ll make a positive impact on how employees experience organizational change, and you’ll use information and close partnership with leaders to build the teams that achieve their specific business goals.  
  • May support other locations.

·         Bachelors Degree

·         Minimum of one (1) year recruiting, human resources or related experience.

·         Experience in retail preferred

·         Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency, be self-driven, have leadership skills, be a team player and strong relationship builder and influencer

·         Strong PC knowledge which include MS Excel, Word, Outlook

·         Experience with applicant tracking systems

·         Excellent Customer Service skills

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality

·         Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment law, recruitment and employment practices, Equal Employment Opportunity regulations and guidelines

·         Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends

.       Travel may be required (10-25%)·
